ABOUT US
We were born and raised in Europe. But home always smelled of something else.
Our grandparents, aunties, and parents carried a whole world with them when they came — recipes, rituals, ways of being around a table. We grew up between two worlds: the one outside, and the one that lived in family kitchens, in the dishes they made, in the stories told over meals.
For a while, it got quieter. Careers pull you forward. Life moves fast. The distance between you and those kitchens grows slowly, almost without you noticing — until one day you realise something precious is being lost.
So we came back to build it up again.
But it was never just about us. We looked around and saw our closest friends carrying the same story — the same half-remembered recipes, the same feeling of something slipping away. And then we looked at our children, growing up the same way we did, and we knew: if we don't pass this on deliberately, it disappears with our generation.
Mongmo is our answer to that. A place to keep it alive, to teach it, and to share it — with the people closest to us, and with anyone who wants to be part of it.
